Line Jumper - flat SMD components
The Line jumper is a flat SMD component that is assembled between two PCBs.
They serve to connect the PCBs so that they can be later bent one above the other.
Areas of application are found above all when small housing units are used, such as a 16mm fuse unit in a switch cabinet or other small housing situations where a second PCB can be mounted parallel to the first.
Line Jumper Applications
The line jumpers can be bent into other positions so that a clear distance measurement is guaranteed.
Please be aware that this are our standard types are listed if you do not find the type needed for your assembly we can custom produce other types.
We also offer in house workshops where we can develop the jumper together to suit your needs.
Design Tips
Connecting the jumper to a relatively delicate component we suggest that the assembly distance between the two PCBs which are to be connected be closed.
This is easily accomplished by either using a milling step or scoring step, please allow for these when designing your layout.
Line Jumper Footprints
For a reliable soldering of this component we suggest the following pad definitions to be implented.
Our tip accordingly is to implement the following Footprint as a complete component in your layout software, this will allow you to easily set it into position in future planning.
