Corner Jumps

Corner Jumps - Connectors, which can be soldered like conventional THT components

In many electronic devices we see more vertically mounted printed circuit boards where milling grooves are used and can be directly soldered.

Such solutions are not permanently manufacturing reliable, we offer connectors, which can be soldered like conventional THT components.

The special feature is that this component has been designed so that a portion of the PCB may be incorporated in the edge area, where usually no components are.

A further advantage is obtained by the assembly of the Corner-Jumps: By the symmetry it brings an exceptional stability between base plate and the vertically mounted circuit board, without causing too much strain on the solder joints of the individual plates.

The Assembly of Corner Jumps

In your layout, you should plan for holes with a diameter of 0.8 mm to implement Corner jumps We recommend that these holes be plated through, so a better stability is achieved.

Place the holes in the PCB for the corner jumps as close to the edge as possible, this allows for more space for other components.

Current Load of Corner Jumps

The corner jumps CJ-135 is not only designed for one angular position but they can be bent very well in other angular positions.

Thus, the two PCBs can be set in angular positions 135 to 45 degrees. Please note in this case the bent Corner-Jumps CJ-13 requires a space for the convolution.
